As part of our Outreach Programme the school purchased a Christmas tree in support of the BC Children's Hospital Fundraiser, 'Festival of Trees'. On Wednesday, November 21 the Grade 7 class went to the Grand Hotel and decorated our tree with ornaments made by students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 in their art classes.
The event was a great success for the Children's Hospital; over fifty trees were purchased and decorated by the local community. The trees will be on display until January 3, 2008 so if you have time please wonder through the Grand and admire everyone's hard work.

ABERDEEN HALL PREPARATORY SCHOOL STUDENTS KEEPING KELOWNA CLEAN – TD NATIONAL SHORELINE CLEAN-UP
During the morning of Thursday, September 20, Aberdeen Hall students and parents joined the TD National Shoreline Clean-up. Grades 4 to 7 went to Sutherland Park and picked up shoreline garbage as part of the school’s environmental education programme. Despite the wet weather, the students enjoyed working together to make their environment a better place. Rachel said, “I didn’t realize the shoreline was so polluted, but I felt good after we had cleaned it up.” Shay said, “It felt good to make a difference.” The group then hiked up Knox Mountian and cleaned up the trail. Ten bags of garbage, two rubber rafts, and a tire were collected.
