Physical Education K-3

The Junior School offers Physical Education for all students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Children participate in the Physical Education programme on a very regular basis with an emphasis on active living, skill development and leadership opportunities.

In the primary grades (K-3) the students develop their fundamental skills of movement: running, jumping, throwing, and catching. These skills are taught through units of soccer, basketball, badminton, fielding games, gymnastics, dance, games, track-and-field athletics, and outdoor education activities. Students are challenged, not only to develop their physical skills, but also their social skills by applying a strong sense of sportsmanship, cooperation, acceptance, and a love for physical activity throughout the year.
