Application for Admission

Application for admission to Aberdeen Hall Preparatory School may be made by completing the Application for Admission Form, and submitting the Application Fee along with all supporting documents. Or by completing the Inquiry Form and have us contact you. Application Fee

$200 per grade school student and $100 per new preschool student.

Preschool and Kindergarten Requirements

Children applying to Preschool and Kindergarten must be at least 3 years old and 5 years old, respectively, by December 31 of the year they intend to commence.  Exception to this regulation for Kindergarten only may be discussed with the Head of School.

Teacher Reference (Grades 4 or higher)

Please include a completed Teacher Reference Form for all students applying for Grade 4 and above.

Evaluation Process

Payment of the Application Fee does not guarantee admission to the school.  Admission is based on an interview, an evaluation and testing process, a classroom visit and the number of places available.

Evaluation Criteria

Evaluation criteria include, but are not limited to:

  • Will the candidate benefit from and contribute to our school?
  • Aberdeen Hall teachers’ observation during the child’s visit.
  • The results of standardized assessment tests.
  • Applicant’s previous school records.
  • Teacher/Head of School references or recommendations.

    • Student Visits and Interview

    Once the complete application has been received, our Admissions Office will schedule visit, interview, and assessment dates.

    Timing of the Process

    It is recommended that applications be completed between January 1st and March 1st to allow sufficient time for the process and to secure placement for the student in the upcoming school year.

    MID YEAR APPLICATIONS

    We will consider late applications and mid-year placements on an individual basis only if we have availability of space in the grade requested.

    Application Deadline

    The application deadline for the 2010/2011 school year is March 5, 2010.  Applications submitted after this date will be considered based on availability.

    Acceptance of Student

    Upon acceptance, a non-refundable Enrollment Fee of $750 per grade school student or $500 per preschool student is required. This deposit will be applied to the tuition charged for the first year attended.
