In order to achieve, students need to feel secure and confident. At Aberdeen Hall, we surround our students with educators who are talented, passionate, and committed. Our teachers care greatly about the development of the students, and it shows.
Our academic programme is based on two underlying philosophies. First, students are capable of much more than we give them credit for, and significantly more than is expected of them in other environments. Our programme constantly challenges the students and pushes the boundaries of their learning. Second, true self esteem is created through the trials and tribulations associated with successfully overcoming a specific set of obstacles. By being challenged, and then guided on the strategies to independently overcome these challenges, authentic self-esteem is created. Students enjoy being challenged, and they love to learn.
Our character education programme, Character Counts is based on six ethical values that everyone can agree on — values that are not political, religious, or culturally biased. The Six Pillars of Character;Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship are ethical values to guide student choices.
