Kindergarten

Our enriched, full-day Kindergarten programme provides students with a nurturing yet challenging environment designed to help each child reach his/her own potential academically, socially, emotionally and athletically. Our newly-developed Language Arts programme, which uses the internationally acclaimed Jolly Phonics and Oxford Reading Tree programmes, accelerates the leap into independent reading and writing, quickly developing the confidence that will serve our students in future years. In Socials Studies, students begin by examining themselves, their families, their school and their local communities, before branching out into the world with studies on Canada and Ancient Greece as well as celebrations in other countries. Through Science experiments and other hands-on activities on topics such as Objects and Materials, Earth and Space, and Plants and Animals, students develop an appreciation for the natural world. Art lessons explore colour, line, texture and shape in a variety of forms and materials. With specialist instruction in French, Music and P.E., our students receive a well-rounded and high-caliber education.
