Community
Parents and family play a central role in the well-being of our school. We recognize the important link between student success and parent involvement. When parents are involved and part of a successful educational team, they develop a deeper understanding of the educational goals and expectations for their children.
The school schedules regular parent/teacher interviews and encourages parents to visit their child’s classroom before and after school. The staff also welcome communication by email.
Parents often lend us their expertise and time by volunteering at the School. They assist teachers in the classroom and help with our Fun Lunch programme. Parents also have the opportunity to join the Board of Directors, join volunteer committees including the Parent Guild and take part in fundraising events. We value all our volunteers and appreciate all they do.
Grandparents are also a very valued member of our community. Every year we invite our Grandparents’ into school to spend a morning with their grandchildren.
For more information about volunteering at the school please contact your child’s homeroom teacher, for joining the Board or Volunteer Committees please contact the Head of School, Christopher Grieve christopher.grieve@aberdeenhall.com, for joining the Parent Guild please contact cindybollhorn@gmail.com
