Parent Guild
Aberdeen Hall Families,
It is my pleasure, as a representative of the Aberdeen Hall Parent Guild (AHPG) Executive, to welcome you all to an exciting new year at Aberdeen Hall! There has been no greater joy (and challenge!) in my life than bringing our three boys into this world and trying to raise them properly. Our search for an enriched and memorable education experience led us to Aberdeen Hall and we have not been disappointed. It was my prerogative to get involved with the AHPG early and often. I invite you to experience this active and welcoming group of volunteers and in doing so, have a direct impact on your children’s learning environment.
The Guild’s mission is to enhance Aberdeen Hall’s social and physical environment while fostering a sense of community among students, parents, staff and friends of the school. We aim to do this by organizing events, fundraising opportunities and supporting activities beneficial to our school community.
We are working towards full parent participation and hope you will join us.
The events that the Guild organizes throughout the year provide parents with opportunities to become engaged with the school community, to meet other parents and staff and to support the school and its fundraising projects. The Guild facilitated many successful events last year including the Scholastic Book Fairs, hanging basket fundraiser and family bowling night to name a few. These events and fundraisers would not be possible without the help of volunteers. Parents who volunteer feel part of the educational process and a close part of the school community.
Click on the Guild Volunteer Interest Form to view the list of events and opportunities you can get involved in. Your contribution at any level can play an essential role in helping the school reach its goals. All Guild meetings are open to all parents or guardians whose child is a student at the school. We always have a number of volunteer positions open for specific events or other opportunities.
I invite you to get involved early and often.
Be sure to check out the Aberdeen Hall Parent Guild (AHPG) community board in the grand foyer for upcoming events and learn about our featured class of the month.
Thank you for your contribution, support and enthusiasm!
Kim Woychuk,
President
